Our New Home

Steep is hard at work transforming its new building at 1044 West Berwyn into an artistic home that can support its art, artists, and community far into the future. Through the Lights Up Edgewater capital campaign, Steep is transforming this former church into a dynamic theatrical venue that reflects the company's commitment to fearless storytelling and inclusive collaboration. The new facility will feature a flexible 70-seat black box theater, a welcoming lobby-lounge for performance and community engagement, and dedicated spaces to support our artists and staff.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and the City of Chicago, we have raised 90% of the necessary funds to complete construction, which is targeted to begin soon. Learn more about Lights Up Edgewater and how you can contribute to bringing this vision to life.
