Summary: A darkly funny morality tale about monster debt and fractured desires, the high price of living and the stuff we buy to fill up the void. Personal happiness is not just love, but Pottery Barn furnishings as well. Love and Money premiered in 2006 at the Royal Exchange in Manchester before moving to the Young Vic in London later that year.

"[a] fascinating play ...a feast of gut-wrenching acting"
-Chris Jones, Chicago Tribune

"...Love and Money is as immediate as it gets."
-Kris Vire, Timeout Chicago
"What to see so far in '12...
I keep thinking about the wisdom and pain of Dennis Kelly's
writing and how it motivated this group of actors to do the best
work I've ever seen them do together."
-Chris Jones, Chicago Tribune
"a fiercely acted Midwest premiere by Steep Theatre — could not be more topical. But it also is eternal."
-Hedy Weiss, Chicago Sun-Times
"definitely another dramatic triumph for Steep Theatre."
-Scott C. Morgan, Windy City Times
Critic's Pick!
"Witt's direction is so great, the always excellent Steep ensemble is so great...Old wine in a new bottle. And very much worth drinking."
