Michael studied the performing arts and began acting professionally in his hometown of New Orleans. In 2005 he made a move to Chicago, where he lived for nearly a decade. In 2009 he was cast in Steep's Jeff award-winning production of In Arabia We'd All be Kings and a year later, he was welcomed into the Steep family as an ensemble member. Also in Chicago, he's had the pleasure of working with The Pavement Group, Theatre Seven, Collaboraction, The House, Dog & Pony, Victory Gardens, Silk Road Rising, The Goodman, and Lookingglass Theater.
In 2013, Michael moved to New York. You know, just to see. His New York projects include work with the American Symphony Orchestra (Lincoln Center), Columbia University, IRT, Gowanus Art & Production, Irish Repertory Theatre, The Brooklyn Generator, and The Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival at Playwrights Horizons.
Regionally, he has worked with Theatre Aspen, Denver Center Theatre Co., Southern Repertory Theater, Le Petit Theatre and The New Orleans Shakespeare Festival at Tulane.
Michael's on-camera work includes Freshman Orientation (2004 Sundance Premiere) and Blue Bloods (CBS). He is a member of Actors' Equity Association and he lives in Brooklyn. More at www.michaelsalinasactor.com.
