About Steep Theatre

Caroline Neff

Caroline recently got her B.A. in theatre from Columbia College where she had the very good fortune to study under the likes of Jeff Ginsberg, Sheldon Patinkin, Caroline Latta, and Brian Posen, to name a few. Her experiences there were amazing, and the more she reflects on the time she spent there the more appreciative she is.

She hails from the Great State of Texas and worked with and Improv Comedy Troupe called Joker's Wild, where she met John Wilson, who eventually got her drunk enough to seriously consider moving to Chicago. When she realized that Corpus Christi, Texas was not doing her any favors in 2004, she moved to the Windy City and hasn't regretted a moment of it.

The first show she ever saw in this great city was Incident at Vichy at Steep, and she remembers very vividly being amazed at what theatre is, what it can be, and the vast opportunity is has to change the world around you. As one of the most recent members to the Steep ensemble, she could not be more pleased to be working with a company she has loved and believed in since her beginnings in Chicago.

Her gratitude lies with everyone here at Steep, all of her loving friends, but most of all her patient, supportive, and wonderful family. They deserve way more credit than they are given.
